Pellings acts as Employer's Agent for Wandle Housing Association on new affordable homes development in Bermondsey

Wandle, the south London housing association has completed its Section.106 affordable homes development designed by Marchini Curran Architects at the Taper Building, 175 Long Lane, Bermondsey, London, SE1, providing 38 new homes.

The development was undertaken by Peveril Securities Long Lane and built by Tolent Construction. Pellings, was the consultancy, acting as Employer's Agent for Wandle.

The buildings are of reinforced concrete frame construction with brick facades at lower level and brick slips above together with flat roofs.

The rented units include three wheelchair accessible flats fitted out to South East London Housing (SELHP) Wheelchair Homes Design guidelines. There are also nine car parking spaces.

The redeveloped site overlooking Leathermarket with views across the River Thames to the City of London, of which the Wandle homes form part, provides 94 residential units in 6, 7 and 8-storey buildings with associated car and cycle parking, landscaping, gymnasium, and podium garden at first floor level with a children’s playing area.
