Project Manager

Due to continued growth we are expanding our Architecture team by recruiting a Project Manager to join us in our Bromley office. This role will suit a candidate with drive and ambition to be part of a growing department and service within Pellings. Our team delivers a variety of projects predominately within the local authority housing sectors, but also within the education, civic and industrial sectors.

Employment type: Permanent

Pay/Package: Dependent on experience

Company Sector: Construction across New Build Social Housing, Education, Civic and Industrial.

Desired Experience: Project Manager with relevant experience of working for a professional consultancy, particularly related to new build housing and education.

Qualifications: APM is desirable or working towards. Architect (ARB registered) with Project Management experience working towards APM will also be considered.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for running projects on your own, with support from senior managers, including liaising with clients, developing relationships and trust.
  • Understanding of key objectives associated with a project.
  • Interpret and expand the client’s brief using experience and expertise.
  • Programming his/her own works and resources available to him/her to ensure satisfactory completion of the relevant tasks associated with the project.
  • Preparation of client’s brief, including project programme, detailed project budget, cash flow etc.
  • Identify and manage risk.
  • Preparation and management of Project Execution Plans.
  • Administer change request procedures.
  • Advise on various options and administer all forms of procurement for contractors, consultants, supporting project surveys, reports, investigations, clerk of works, etc.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Drafting and presentation of monthly progress reports covering progress, programme, costs, design and risk.
  • Prepare feasibility and property strategy reports for a variety of clients and projects.
