Pellings appointed by Cray Wanderers FC

Photo of BorisPellings have been appointed by Cray Wanderers Football Club to provide planning and architectural services on a proposed new stadium in the heart of the 'Crays' near Sidcup in Kent.

The club is the oldest football club in London and have been without their own ground since they started sharing with Bromley FC in 1972. A recent run of success has seen them progress to their highest ever league position in the Ryman Premier Division, and is behind their application to move into their own purpose-built venue near their original home.

The application is for a 'Sporting village development' that will provide not only a stadium that meets the requirements of the Football League, but also houses a 25m pool, gymnasium and table tennis hall. Further plans to incorporate a 100 room hotel with associated bar and reception area have also been proposed. The scheme already has the support of both the Local Councillors, and also the Mayor for London, Boris Johnson.
