Pellings' Seminar: What's Next for Procurement?

On 28 September, industry professionals attended Pellings' seminar on the future of procurement hosted by Chairman, Richard Claxton. Much of the construction industry is mired in adversarial relationships, low quality outputs and zero efficiency gains. The seminar brought forward expert speakers highly respected in their fields to share their perspectives on which approach is best to take for the future of procurement and gave their views on the use of collaborative frameworks.

Speakers were:

  • Kate Stansfield, Chief Operating Office, Gen2
  • Professor David Mosey, Director of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, Kings College
  • Nick Sterling, Managing Director, Osborne Communities

The presentation is available to view and download here and Professor Mosey’s detailed briefing paper can be found here.

Within the seminar a document on the safety of large panel systems was also shared which is available to view here.

The seminar formed part of Pellings' highly recognized CPD programme. These events are facilitated to share best practice within the property and construction industry. For more information on the programme contact Caroline Thomson on
