Pellings Highly Commended Twice at Award Ceremony

Goat Lees Primary, a new build 1 Form of Entry school in Kennington, Ashford, funded by Kent County Council, where Pellings were Architect, Town Planner and Contract Administrator has been recognised at the RICS South East Awards.

Sarah Jones, Richard Corby and Neill Werner attended the ceremony at Epsom Racecourse on Thursday 1st May and collected Highly Commended awards in both the Design through Innovation and Community Benefit categories.

The design involved in-depth consultation with a panel of seven local head teachers to inform the design and achieve an optimal learning model whilst Cross laminated timber (CLT) fast-tracked the construction process. The provision of shared space for community use was an important prerequisite, and it was intelligently worked into the overall design.
